We will be completing our time today at Word of Life Philippines this afternoon and I must say it has been a rather remarkable week. Our work team was able to put together 30 benches and they’ll be working on some finishing touches on those benches this morning. I’ve had a wonderful opportunity once again to teach God’s Word to young adults. Most of the students here are ages 17 to 21 as the young adults in the Philippines graduate from high school usually when they are 16 or 17 years old. Yesterday I had my classes and it was really a blessing when the students ministered in song to me. In the evening we went to a Word of Life campus outreach ministry at a nearby college. I had opportunity to minister to between 25 and 30 college students from God’s Word. I clearly sense the presence of God in that place as I have sensed the presence of God throughout this entire ministry. Several church leaders from Hillside Christian Church, where I spoke on Sunday, came over for this event and then followed us back to Word of Life so that they could view my power point presentation from Yad Vashem. A couple of these fellows are very interested in applying for the scholarship to see if they can go to study in Jerusalem. Then the students had a special service to say goodbye to us. This was very special for all of us as they encouraged us, as we have been able to minister and encourage them this past week.
We will be leaving shortly after lunch today to drive to Manila where we will be connecting with one of our church ladies to visit and minister at her church and to visit with her family. We are all doing well health wise, though I did hurt my knee yesterday on a motorcycle ride. I’m actually very amazed at how well I have been feeling and I’m grateful that they have a swimming pool here where I could go swimming every day. Thank you all for your prayers and support for our trip, I believe God has very much been pleased with our service for Him this past week. I do not feel bad about missing your most recent snowstorm but we might have to deal with more of that when we get home. We rejoice together in God’s kindness and goodness to us in allowing us to share in His work over the past week.
