What a wonderful Savior we serve and what a wonderful time of the year we have when we celebrate Jesus’ birth. We have seen many incredible blessings over the last year and each of us should be grateful for the kindness and love of our gracious God. I am especially mindful of John’s words in the 1st chapter of his gospel where he writes “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”, (v.1 NKJ). When we celebrate the birth of Jesus it’s important that we remember that His birth wasn’t the beginning of His life, for He has always been. His birth (actually His conception) was the point at which deity took on humanity, God out of His deep love came in the person of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ so that we may know Him and experience salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
As I will be taking a couple weeks off from blogging, I do want to wish you my readers a very Merry Christmas and a new year filled with God’s blessings. As you celebrate this Christmas season my prayer would be that you would experience the touch of God in your life and that the true meaning of Christmas would become crystal clear in your heart and in your home.
