It began as a celebration of the diversity of our church family and our community. Now our “Taste of the World” day has taken on a life of its own. I was reflecting on the 34th Psalm this week when I posted this message on the church sign, “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (v.8a NIV). The second part of this verse is just as powerful – “blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him” (v.8b NIV). On June 1st from 2:00pm to 6:00pm (with praise service at 6), we’ll have opportunity to taste a variety of foods from different countries and cultures. But most of all we’ll be celebrating the Lord God of the universe who cares for all of us. Taste and see and experience the great grace of God who has provided salvation through Jesus Christ for people from every race and culture!
I want to invite all my blog readers to join us as we taste and see the greatness and vastness of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. What a day it will be. Pray for sunshine (better SON-shine) and come out to celebrate what God is doing. Save the date!
All for Christ,
